Lobster head

Pictures and text:  Rudolf  Svensen

Common Lobster occurs in Norwegian waters as far north as Tysfjorden in Lofoten. Earlier was lobsters known as food for the poor people. On Kvitsøy, an island close to Stavanger, could a couple off kids catch several hundreds during an afternoon .

Today is the Norwegian lobster stock threatened by extermination. This is due to over fishing and bad attitude among the fishermen .

Common Lobster eats almost everything it finds on the bottom. From jellyfishes and crabs to other smaller lobsters.

The lobster on this picture was searching for food in the dark water of a Norwegian fjord in late December. The Lobster did not like to be taken pictures of. It attacked both diver and the camera .
