The Northern Krill

The Northern Krill is
swarming in the night. It gathers in front of the pilot light on my
strobe in a large obscure ball. I can feel a pricking along the edge
of my mask where the small animals are crawling. To get images of
anything else than krill in this environments are impossible. In an
attempt to dispose of these small buggers, I turn off all my lights
and rest at the bottom in complete darkness. I can feel the pricking
in my face declines and looks towards my dive buddy, Leif. He is
apparently having more fun with the krill than I am. It seems like
he is attempting to collect all the krill in this fjord. I move
closer and shoot some images of the thick swarm with Leif in the
middle.
Then I turn and switch on my light in a second attempt to capture
some images of a beautiful Wiff at the bottom. But I fail. Only
seconds after my light is on, the krill is back.
Damn! I signal Leif and together we drop off the shelf and peaceful
sinks down against The Korsfjords unfathomable depths.
Maybe the Northern Krill will not find us there?
